Global Music Ambassador

Graves was chosen to be a US Global Music Ambassador through a partnership between the U.S. State Department and YouTube in June 2024. This collaboration is part of the State Department's Global Music Diplomacy Initiative, a worldwide effort to elevate music as a diplomatic platform to promote peace and democracy. Even prior to this initiative, Graves has been a music ambassador, performing at national events such as Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s funeral, the September 11 Memorial Concert in 2011, the opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in 2016, and former President George W Bush’s Inauguration in 2001.
